As you all know the Dublin Fleadh takes place in Malahide on 11th and 12th May 2013. Help is needed on both these days in a lot of areas including clerking, stewarding, programme sales, admission, catering, running the shop, ticket selling and others. Please help out if you can, as with all comhaltas events the fleadh is run on voluntary labour. You can give as much or as little help as you wish. Contact Mary 086 1937669, email email@example.com or talk to Michael Mc Cabe on Tuesday or Thursday nights.
The Cóiste wish to express their sincere gratitude to the anonymous donor who so generously gave the Craobh a gift of €500. At the request of the donor some of the money was given to those older students who are attending Meitheal (a residential summer school for promising traditional musicians). The rest was used to purchase some instruments for use within the Craobh. Once again we wish to thank the donor for such an unexpected and generous gift.
Well done to all those who participated in the feis last Sunday. To all of you who competed for the first time you did great. We were all delighted to see how many people took part and you all played very well. The branch is very proud of you.
Well done to the Under 15 and Under 12 groups who both came second in their compeititions. It was a great achievement. Also our musicians did very well in the individual competitions so well done to all who participated and to those who won. With the fleadh just round the corner we need to keep up the good work and continue with the classes, practices and the Thursday sessions
